Amanda de Cadenet is a photographer, television host, podcaster, author, entrepreneur, and advocate. She has had a lifelong career in the media, beginning at the age of 15 when she became a household name as a host on the legendary UK live late-night show THE WORD, where she interviewed the biggest names in music.

She then turned her focus to fashion and celebrity portrait photography, which has been featured all over the globe. She is the youngest woman to shoot a Vogue magazine cover and has photographed many influential figures in popular culture, but is perhaps best known for her intimate portraits of women in which she captures their true and unique selves.

In 2012, Amanda became executive producer and host of THE CONVERSATION, a groundbreaking interview series (and subsequent podcast) featuring female innovators and disruptors ranging from Vice President Kamala Harris, Tarana Burke (#MeToo founder), Hillary Clinton, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Zoe Saldana, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sarah Silverman, Alicia Keys, and Lady Gaga.

Amanda is also the founder of GIRLGAZE, a global platform that connects a network of female-identifying and non-binary creatives with companies who want to hire diverse creative teams.

She was named one of the “Most Creative People in Business” by Fast Company in 2020, and in June 2021 de Cadenet was selected as a founding member of the new Victoria’s Secret VS Collective, joining Naomi Osaka, Stella McCartney, Priyanka Chopra, Megan Rapinoe, Hailey Bieber, and Bella Hadid. Victoria’s Secret announced this alongside the news that it was debuting its first original podcast, VS VOICES, with Amanda as the host, where she connected with trailblazing women around the world to celebrate the multi-faceted nature of the female experience.

Amanda is currently the host of THE CONVERSATION WITH AMANDA DE CADENET, and author of IT’S MESSY: ON BOYS, BOOBS, AND BADASS WOMEN, #GIRLGAZE: HOW GIRLS SEE THE WORLD, and RARE BIRDS.
