Biography
Andrea is an American actress and model. She currently stars as ‘Ella McFair’ in the Starz comedy RUN THE WORLD. The show premiered in May 2021 to instant critical success and has been hailed as the modern-day SEX AND THE CITY. The show follows four best friends living in Harlem striving for world domination, and is beautifully styled by the legendary costume designer Patricia Field.
Andrea made her debut in WHAT MAISIE KNEW (2012) starring Julianne Moore and Alexander Skarsgard. She also starred alongside John Stamos in the film MY MAN IS A LOSER (2014). Other notable roles include ‘Kelly’ in the Hallmark Channel film HOPELESS ROMANTIC (2016), ‘Megan’ in CAN’T BUY ME LOVE (2017), and‘LaConnie’ in AFTERBURN/AFTERSHOCK (2017). She has also contributed to numerous award-winning short films, including FIRST DATE, LAST DATE.
Andrea had her television debut as a guest star on LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT (2010). Her first big break came in 2013 when she booked the recurring role of Neda in the TNT crime drama RIZZOLI & ISLES. A few years later, after an audition for a one-day guest star on NCIS: LOS ANGELES, producers saw potential in Andrea and offered her a season-long arc as ‘Special Agent Harley Hidoko’, which led to other opportunities, like a major guest star on The CW reboot of DYNASTY and the series lead in RTW. Other credits include SMASH (2012), alongside Debra Messing and Katherine McPhee, and HOW TO MAKE IT IN AMERICA (2011) opposite Lake Bell and Kid Cudi.
Andrea started her career by pursuing modeling in 2006. She started with beauty shoots, and soon landed a commercial agent, theatrical agent, multiple print agencies and a manager. She has appeared in a variety of print advertisements and magazines, as well as commercials such as Citi Card and Dove Chocolate.
Andrea has been involved with the NAACP, an organization fighting for equality and justice for the Black community. She is a panelist for the 2nd Annual ACE Festival - a virtual series of presentations and conversations that highlight the impact and power of the arts from an African American perspective.
Andrea grew up in a Texas military family and later moved to Germany. Her high school teacher inspired her to pursue a career in acting. She studied theater at Pace University in New York City, and later transferred to New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. She is passionate about health and wellness, and loves meditating and music festivals. She is currently planning to set out and travel the country in a renovated school bus.
