Brandy currently stars in ABC's smart, new rap girl group drama, QUEENS, that centers on four women who reunite hoping to recapture the glory they had as the Nasty Bitches, a fictional ‘90s hip-hop group. Brandy plays ‘Naomi’, also known as ‘Xplicit Lyrics’, who was the highly skilled engine of the group but failed to find mainstream success as a solo artist. The series is in its 1st season. Born in to a musical family, Brandy became one of the most successful multi-media stars of the ‘90s, thanks to her constant presence on both the pop and R&B charts. Since emerging with her 3x-platinum self-titled debut album in 1994, this trailblazing pioneer has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide (including the 5x-platinum selling NEVER SAY NEVER) and is ranked one of the best-selling female artists in American music history by the RIAA, having sold over 11 million albums in the US. She has earned numerous awards and accolades, including a Grammy Award, an American Music Award, and seven Billboard Music Awards. Her breakthrough came with the wildly-successful single THE BOY IS MINE, which went on to become one of the best selling female duets of all time.
