23, actress and model, Canadian Screen Award nominee for her breakout role in Heated Rivalry, recent arc on Sterling Point, two upcoming films
Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova is a Canadian-American actress and model of Russian-Caribbean descent, best known for her performance as 'Svetlana Vetrova' in HEATED RIVALRY, the HBO Max series that became one of 2025's biggest and most unexpected hits and the platform's highest-performing acquired debut. Adapted from Rachel Reid's bestselling Game Changers novels, it follows two rival professional hockey players navigating a secret relationship, with Svetlana at its emotional centre as Ilya Rozanov's longtime friend and confidante. The series won the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding New TV Series, a Peabody Award and the Television Critics Association Award for Program of the Year, and swept the Canadian Screen Awards, where Kharlamova was nominated for Best Supporting Performer in a Drama. NYLON named her one of the show's breakout stars, calling her its fiercest ally. Season 2 is anticipated in the spring.
She also holds a recurring role as Stacey Mallory in STERLING POINT, Prime Video's number one global debut of the summer, placing her in two of the biggest young-audience titles on television inside a year. She recently wrapped the feature EXIT TO THE GUILLOTINE, directed by Zachary Cotler, with a second film upcoming.
Kharlamova earned a second Canadian Screen Award nomination for her role as Much in ROBYN HOOD, Director X's reimagining of the Robin Hood legend. Her other work includes Yazmin in CBC's STRAYS, Jasmyn in Roku's SLIP, Annabelle Volkov in Lifetime's THE BOARDING SCHOOL MURDERS, a role opposite Colman Domingo in Netflix's thriller THE MADNESS, a featured role in Prime Video's Emmy-nominated THE BOYS, and a guest appearance on SKYMED.
She is one of three cover stars on FASHION magazine's September 2026 The Ones issue, made her runway debut at New York Fashion Week in February walking Christian Cowan's Before The Door Opens show, and has worked national campaigns for Nike, Roots and Sephora with features in Moevir Paris. She uses her red carpet appearances to highlight smaller houses and Canadian designers.
Born in Toronto to a Russian-Ukrainian mother and a Trinidadian father, Kharlamova was raised between Toronto and Saint Petersburg, where she trained and performed on stage before moving fully to screen acting in her teens. She speaks Russian as her first language, which she puts to use in her HEATED RIVALRY character. She has spoken on a Black Screen Office panel, and off set she's an avid gamer.
