Abigail Spencer has long been known for her work in front of the camera with a career spanning 25 years in television, stage and film. Her notable credits include acclaimed performances in Rectify, Mad Men, True Detective, Oz: The Great and Powerful, Cowboys and Aliens, Chasing Mavericks, This Is Where I Leave You, Reprisal, Wayne, Timeless, and How I Met Your Mother.
Abigail currently stars opposite Josh Charles in Fox's Best Medicine, playing small-town teacher 'Louisa Gavin.' The show premiered to 12.6 million multi-platform viewers and has been renewed for a second season. She also recently wrapped indie feature Clean Hands opposite Zach Braff and Esther McGregor, which had its world premiere at the 2026 Tribeca Festival.
Abigail was also one of the stars of streaming's biggest phenomenon and runaway hit: Suits, where she portrays the beloved character "Scottie," Harvey Specter's on-again, off-again girlfriend — the female Harvey per se. The hottest series on television in 2023, Suits has been breaking a slew of streaming viewership records with over 60 billion minutes viewed in 2023 alone. Additionally, Abigail is a staple on Grey’s Anatomy, a near constant presence on Nielsen streaming charts, boasting over 1 billion minutes viewed weekly for the past four months and cementing itself as the 4th most popular show on television right now.
Behind the scenes, Abigail has been developing and building Innerlight Films in partnership with Oscar-nominated director Duke Johnson (Anomalisa). Together, they've produced Here and Now and the Oscar short-listed Winter Light. NEON released The Actor, a film produced by Abigail and Duke starring Gemma Chan and André Holland, adapted from Donald Westlake's Memory, in March 2025 to critical acclaim. The Actor marks Abigail’s first full length feature as producer alongside industry heavyweights Paul Young, Ken Kao, and Ryan Gosling.
Most recently, Abigail starred in Extended Family, a sitcom created by Mike O’Malley, alongside Jon Cryer and Donald Faison. Premiering on NBC in January 2023, the show's first two episodes drew an audience of 10 million viewers across NBC and Peacock. In addition, she stars in Shatterbelt, an independent series created by long-time collaborator Jim Ward Brykit (Coherance), which premiered at SXSW 2023 to rave reviews.
In addition to her flourishing career in entertainment, Abigail also launched her entrepreneurial Floral and Hospitality brand, County Line Florals, in 2020, which has quickly grown into the go-to floral and event company in Los Angeles. Her clientele includes esteemed names such as Netflix, Ford Motors, Shake Shack, Soho House, Veuve Clicquot, Goop, Target, and UNICEF, among others.
She resides in Los Angeles and is a mother to son Roman.
