Barbadian actor, stars as ‘Dr. Lucas Adams’ on ABC’s long-running hit medical drama series Grey’s Anatomy

Biography

Actor Niko Terho has emerged as one of the most exciting rising talents to watch across film and television. 

Currently, he can be seen starring as Dr. Lucas Adams on ABC’s long-running hit medical drama series “Grey’s Anatomy.” Dr. Lucas Adams is a first-year surgical intern at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, and the nephew of Derek Shepherd, Amelia Shepherd, and Meredith Grey. Season 20 of the show is now airing, and the show has been renewed for Season 21.

In 2019, Terho made his television debut in Starz’s drama series “Sweetbitter.” His other television credits include ABC’s “Station 19,” where he reprised his role as Dr. Lucas Adams. 

On the film side, he starred opposite Jake Borelli in Freeform’s made-for-TV romantic comedy film “The Thing About Harry.” The film follows Sam (Borelli), a young gay man who is reunited with his former high school bully Harry (Terho) in adulthood, only for the two men to become friends and fall in love after Harry reveals that he now identifies as pansexual. The film premiered on February 15, 2020, on Freeform and Hulu and was nominated for a 2021 GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding TV Movie. Also in 2020, Terho appeared in the feature film “Sno Babies.” 

Terho was born and raised in Barbados. Driven by his hometown and love of surfing, he is passionate about working towards slowing down global warming and preserving nature in Barbados.
