'Aubrey Posen' in Pitch Perfect franchise, stars in Netflix's YOU, upcoming in Peacock's Hysteria! and feature Bride Hard
Anna Camp is best known for her role as ‘Aubrey Posen’ in the musical comedy PITCH PERFECT and reprised her role in the sequels PITCH PERFECT 2 and 3, which have collectively amassed over $600 million at the box office. Other feature work includes critically acclaimed film THE HELP, Woody Allen’s CAFÉ SOCIETY and recent turns in alongside Nasim Pedrad in comedy film DESPERADOS, Netflix’s THE LOVEBIRDS and as the lead ‘Prissy’ in indie short GRACELAND that premiered at Tribeca Film Festival. She starred as ‘Anna’, a terminally ill woman in indie HERE AWHILE – listed by Forbes as one of the top new movies to stream on Hulu in March 2021.
She is well known for her role as the villainous ‘Sarah Newlin’ in the HBO vampire drama TRUE BLOOD, for which she earned a SAG Award nomination for for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. She garnered attention for her role as ‘Jane Hollander’, a researcher for the fictitious News of the Week magazine, in Amazon Prime’s GOOD GIRLS REVOLT. She has had recurring roles in MAD MEN, THE GOOD WIFE, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT, and VEGAS. She also played ‘Gwen’ in the first season of Fox sitcom THE MINDY PROJECT.
In 2007, Anna was nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award for her performance in Off Broadway play THE SCENE. She made her Broadway debut in the 2008 production of THE COUNTRY GIRL, played ‘Jill Mason’ in the 2008 Broadway revival of Peter Shaffer’s EQUUS and in 2011, she starred in the premiere of ALL NEW PEOPLE, a play written by Zach Braff and staged at Second Stage Theatre. She was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for her performance.
Anna Camp has had a busy pandemic – she has shot three upcoming feature films – including MURDER AT EMIGRANT GULCH, a Western-thriller starring Gabriel Byrne, Thomas Jane and Isaiah Mustafa, directed by Richard Gray. The film will premiere on December 6th. Anna will also star in Paramount+’s first original film JERRY AND MARGE GO LARGE, inspired by the true story of a couple (Annette Benning & Bryan Cranston, Anna portrays their daughter) who helped revitalize their community after playing—and winning—the Massachusetts lottery. She will also play the lead in UNEXPECTING, a story of adoption, produced by Patricia Heaton and David Hunt.
Anna introduced her rapping alter ego ‘Vodka Cran’ on THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN in 2019. She starred in rock band Train's music video for their song MARRY ME. Anna currently resides between Palm Springs and Los Angeles with her beloved dogs Hank and Mira.
