Multitalented singer and actress Dara Reneé is co-host of "Disney's Magic Bake-Off," a competitive series for Kids 6-14 that combines the wonder of baking with the ingenuity of young pastry chefs as they create the most extraordinary cakes inspired by the magic of Disney.
Reneé is best known for her starring role as fashion forward Kourtney on the Disney+ hit series "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series," now in its second season. She is also known for her breakout performance as Savannah in the Disney Channel Original Movie "Freaky Friday," along with her recurring guest star role in ABC's hit series "black-ish."
Originally from Los Angeles, California, she began her career at the early age of two, where she appeared in numerous commercials and various print ads. Reneé eventually moved to Baltimore, Maryland, for a few years, where she and her mom opened the performing arts studio, Encouraging Youth to Dream. There, Reneé trained and performed memorable roles in countless productions, including "Annie," "West Side Story," "The Wiz" and "Grease," before returning to Los Angeles where she currently resides.
An accomplished singer as well, Reneé has performed numerous singles in "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series," such as her solo single "Home" and "1-2-3" with co-stars Sofia Wylie and Julia Lester from season two, as well as "Born to Be Brave" with her co-star Olivia Rodrigo from season one of the hit series. Additionally, the multitalented entertainer has performed on several Disney music specials, including "Disney Princess Remixed – An Ultimate Princess Celebration," "High School Musical: The Musical: The Holiday Special," "Disney Channel's Summer Sing-Along" and "Descendants Remix Dance Party."
In 2020, Reneé released the single "Evolution," a song about the unapologetic power of self confidence and self-love, which she wrote and co-produced to uplift her community during the unprecedented year. When she's not filming, Reneé is busy in the recording studio working on new music.
