Biography

Jude Demorest is an actress and singer-songwriter. She is best known for FOX's girl-group series, STAR, in which Jude was the lead ‘Star Davis’.
 
Jude started her career in minor parts in multiple shows including Disney’s JONAS and Nickelodeon’s HOLLYWOOD HEIGHTS. She then recurred in TNT’s DALLAS as ‘Candace’ and appeared on ABC’s hit family comedy, THE MIDDLE. Most recently, Jude portrayed ‘Chloe’ in the “CRAWLERS” episode of the Hulu original anthology horror series, INTO THE DARK.
 
Jude made her debut in the short HISTORY OF MADE UP THINGS (2009). She also appeared in other films including THE GHASTLY LOVE OF JOHNNY X (2012), BIPOLAR (2014) and AXIOM (2015).
 
Jude has written songs for global artists and groups including Brooke Candy, Little Mix and Fifth Harmony. In 2016, she co-wrote Fifth Harmony’s award-winning hit single ”Work From Home” and the group’s third album lead single “Down”. During her time on FOX’s STAR, she also wrote music for the show.
 
She will be seen portraying ‘June’ in the upcoming heist comedy titled PLAYING GOD, that follows successful con-artist twins who enjoy the thrill of the scamming. The film is currently in post-production.  She recently shot a lead in Hulu’s Blumhouse Anthology series, INTO THE DARK. 

Jude was born in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in a large music-filled religious family. At the age of 16, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. After trying everything from backup dancing to singing, she signed with Epic Records under producer L.A. Reid. She recently released a single titled PERFORMER.  She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, music producer Ammo, and their sons, Judah and Jori.
