María Gabriela de Faría is a Venezuelan-born actress whose global breakout came with her role as Angela Spica / The Engineer in SUPERMAN (2025), directed by James Gunn. The film became a worldwide box-office smash, grossing over $615 million globally and establishing her as a key figure in the new DC Universe. To prepare for the physically demanding role, de Faría underwent months of intense, high-performance, superhero-level training, earning widespread recognition for her discipline and commitment.

She is confirmed to reprise the role in the upcoming sequel MAN OF TOMORROW, set for release in July 2027, and is also set to star in the innovative one-shot musical feature OTRA, executive produced by Tyler Perry and directed by Armani Ortiz.

De Faría began acting at age four and rose to prominence as one of Nickelodeon Latin America’s biggest stars, leading ISA TKM and ISA TK+, GRACHI, and YO SOY FRANKY. These were music-driven telenovelas distributed through Sony Music Latin, with de Faría recording principal vocals for their soundtracks, earning gold-record recognition tied to the music's commercial success, and performing live across Latin America on the ISA FOREVER tour. These series became major hits across Latin America and internationally, reaching audiences in more than 20 countries and cementing her status as a generation-defining talent in the region. Her music credibility was further recognized in 2019 when she served as a juror for the Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar, one of Latin America's most prestigious music festivals, alongside Becky G, Sebastián Yatra, Carlos Rivera, and Grammy-winning producer Humberto Gatica. She has additional recorded music credits through YO SOY FRANKY, a collaboration with Brazilian pop group P9 on "All Torn Up" and more recently appeared in Danny Ocean's BABYLON CLUB, a connected short film and music video project anchored around Caribbean sound and Venezuelan identity.

She later expanded into English-language and U.S. television, appearing in series including THE MOODYS, DEADLY CLASS, and ANIMAL CONTROL. Her film work includes EL PASEO 2, which opened at number one in Colombia, as well as CROSSING POINT, PLAN V, EL EXORCISMO DE DIOS (The Exorcism of God), THE DUEL, and PACÍFICO. She also appeared in WALTZING WITH BRANDO, starring Billy Zane.

Throughout her career, de Faría has earned multiple Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award wins and nominations, including Favorite Actress and Favorite Latin Star, recognizing both her popularity and her sustained impact across youth and family audiences.  She is recognized as one of the most successful Venezuelan performers to transition to global English-language film.

With a highly engaged international fan base — particularly across Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru — de Faría maintains strong cross-market reach among female, Hispanic, and Spanish-speaking audiences, while continuing to grow her presence in the U.S. and global entertainment landscape.

Known for her vibrant, approachable personality and strong work ethic, de Faría is passionate about fitness, wellness, and skincare, having previously co-run a successful skincare brand with her husband. She is also a devoted animal lover, adopting a dog during her SUPERMAN press tour -- named Jude -- and sharing her home with two cats named Eleanor Rigby and Sgt. Pepper, a reflection of her lifelong love of The Beatles.

She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, actor Christian McGaffney, and their pets.
