Matthew Lillard is in the middle of a career resurgence. He returns as 'Shaggy Rogers' in YOKOSO SCOOBY-DOO!, the franchise's first original anime series, produced by Warner Bros. Animation and streaming exclusively on Tubi in North America and Cartoon Network internationally. He will also be seen in A24's CARRIE series from Mike Flanagan, Tony Gilroy's BEHEMOTH! for Searchlight opposite Pedro Pascal, and James Gunn's MAN OF TOMORROW, the SUPERMAN follow-up in theaters July 9, 2027. He has joined ROT, a horror feature produced by Flanagan, alongside Cooper Koch and Amber Midthunder.

2026 was the year that run took hold. He played CIA fixer 'Mr. Charles' opposite Julia Louis-Dreyfus in season 2 of Marvel's DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN, returned as 'Stu Macher' in SCREAM 7, played 'Lance Durand' in season 2 of Amazon MGM's CROSS, appeared in Mike Flanagan's THE LIFE OF CHUCK from the Stephen King story, and reprised his role in New Line's blockbuster FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S 2, drawing a wave of press across The New York Times, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Esquire, People and the Los Angeles Times.

Lillard has built a second career as an entrepreneur, on a model of building premium products for specific fan communities. He co-founded Beadle & Grimm's in 2017, making luxury tabletop gear for Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering and Critical Role, and grew it from a single product to more than 200 in the $2.2 billion tabletop industry. He is co-founder and co-CEO of Find Familiar Spirits, whose newest release is Ghost Face Vodka, tied to the SCREAM franchise he helped define, following Macabre Spirits for horror fans and Quest's End, the first whiskey made for the fantasy and TTRPG communities. Each release ships in a bespoke box with a new chapter of an original story.

He has voiced 'Shaggy' for more than 20 years, originating the role in the live-action SCOOBY-DOO films, and is also best known for SCREAM, SLC PUNK!, SHE'S ALL THAT, HACKERS, THIRTEEN GHOSTS, WITHOUT A PADDLE and THE DESCENDANTS. He directed FAT KID RULES THE WORLD, which won the Audience Award at SXSW, and trained at the Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York.

He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, realtor Heather Helm, and their three children.
