actress, model, director, breakout role as ‘Genevieve’ in Netflix hit EMILY IN PARIS
Thalia Besson is French-American actress who is quickly rising as a starlet to watch, with her breakout role as ‘Genevieve’ in season 4 of Netflix hit EMILY IN PARIS (renewed for season 5). She was introduced as a mysterious and potentially antagonistic character, who causes tension by trying to disrupt the life of the series' protagonist, ‘Emily Cooper’ (Lily Collins). Next up, Thalia is set to appear in horror-fantasy film TRITON.
Previous roles include WHEN I'M READY (2025), DANGEROUS WATERS (2023), ARTHUR MALÉDICTION (2022), and VALERIAN AND THE CITY OF A THOUSAND PLANETS (2017).
She's far from unfamiliar in the industry, as the daughter of film director Luc Besson (who directed SUBWAY, THE BIG BLUE and LA FEMME NIKITA) and producer Virginie Besson-Silla, essentially making her TV royalty.
She graduated from Parsons Paris in 2023. Following in her father's footsteps, she has already directed two films. She has also worked as a model.
